Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you will be met and transferred to Moshi/Arusha to recover from your journey.

Day 2 & 3Tarangire National Park

Get ready for an awesome adventure! This morning, you’re heading out from Moshi or Arusha to Tarangire National Park. It’s about a 3-4 hour drive, but trust me, it’s totally worth it.

Tarangire is like elephant heaven! These gentle giants roam all over the place. And check out those baobab trees – they’re seriously cool and give the park a unique vibe.

Most of the animals hang out near the Tarangire River. It’s the only year-round water source around, so it’s like the local watering hole for wildlife. You’ll see all sorts of creatures – lions, leopards, cheetahs, and man, those elephants! We’re talking up to 6,000 of them!

Your afternoon is all about cruising around on a game drive. Keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready!

Now, day 3 is when things get really exciting. You’ve got the whole day to explore more of Tarangire. This park is way bigger than you’d think, with some seriously gorgeous landscapes. The different types of plants and scenery will blow your mind!

A lot of folks are just amazed by how beautiful it is here. Our guides know all the best spots where animals like to chill, away from the crowds. Spending a day discovering these hidden gems is something you’ll never forget!

So buckle up and get ready for an unforgettable safari experience. Tarangire is waiting to show you its wild side

Day 4Mto Wa Mbu & Lake Eyasi

You wake up, and there’s no rush. You’ve got time to chill over breakfast, maybe sip your coffee slowly or savor that extra piece of toast. Then, it’s about an hour’s drive to this cool place called Mto wa Mbu.

Now, Mto wa Mbu isn’t just any old town. It’s like this buzzing hub where farmers from all over come to buy and sell their stuff. But here’s the kicker – it’s not just one type of person. Nope, this place is like a melting pot of Tanzanian culture. We’re talking about over 120 different ethnic groups all living in the area. How wild is that?

In the afternoon, you’ve got options. Fancy a tuk tuk ride? Or maybe you’re more of a cycling person? If you prefer to stretch your legs, there’s a walking tour too. Whichever you pick, you’ll get to learn about all these different tribes and their unique ways of life. It’s like a crash course in Tanzanian culture, but way more fun.

After you’ve had your fill of exploring Mto wa Mbu, it’s just a quick hop over to Lake Eyasi. Another hour in the car, and boom – you’re there. Trust me, it’s worth the trip!

Day 5 & 6Hadzabe Experience & Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater

Hey there! Ever heard of Lake Eyasi? It’s this cool spot where the Hadzabe Bushmen live. These guys are like the ultimate nature lovers – they’re probably the last people on Earth who really live in harmony with the wild. And get this – they don’t even talk like we do. They communicate by clicking! How wild is that?

After you grab some lunch, you’re in for a bit of a road trip. It’s about a 2-hour drive to the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. That’s where you’ll crash for the night.

The next day is when the real fun begins. You’ll head down into the crater itself. Now, this place is special. Almost all the animals live right there inside the crater walls. It’s like nature’s own zoo, but way better!

You’ve got a good chance of spotting all sorts of creatures. Rhinos are pretty common here, which is awesome because they’re so rare in other places. You might also see some lion prides strutting around like they own the place. And if you’re lucky, you might catch a cheetah on the prowl.

Oh, and here’s a cool tip – make sure you have your lunch by the hippo pond. Trust me, it’s an experience you won’t forget!

Day 7 & 8Serengeti National Park

Hey there, adventure seekers! Ready for an epic safari journey? Buckle up for a four-hour ride from Ngorongoro to Serengeti. Trust me, it’s worth every minute!

On the way, you’ve got to check out Olduvai Gorge. It’s this mind-blowing archaeological site that’ll make your inner Indiana Jones go wild. Seriously, it’s like stepping back in time!

Now, Serengeti? It’s where the magic happens. Picture this: millions of wildebeest on their epic migration, roaming across endless plains. But that’s not all – you’ve got lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas prowling around too. Your guide knows all the hotspots, so you’re in for a treat.

Want to see something cool? Head to the hippo pool. These massive creatures are just chilling in the water, and – get this – they’re hanging out with crocodiles! It’s like nature’s own odd couple sitcom.

Day 9 & 10Lake Natron

Hey there! So, day 9 is gonna be pretty epic. You’re heading to Lake Natron, and it’s gonna take most of the day to get there. But don’t worry, you’ll be spotting wildlife along the way, so keep your eyes peeled!

Now, Lake Natron is something else. It’s like this eerie, beautiful wasteland that’s home to a ton of lesser flamingos. We’re talking about 75% of the world’s population! The lake itself is wild – it’s got this algae that turns the water into this crazy, colorful spectacle. It’s like nature’s own lava lamp, I swear.

Looming over the lake is this beast of a mountain called Ol Doinyo Lengai. The Maasai call it the Mountain of God, and let me tell you, it looks the part. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can actually hike up this bad boy. It’s an active volcano, so that’s pretty cool. But heads up, it’s a tough climb and you’ll be starting around midnight. It’s totally optional, so no pressure!

Day 10 is all about you. If you decide to tackle that volcano, you’ll probably want to crash for a few hours when you get back to camp. After that, you can check out the lake and some waterfalls in the afternoon. If climbing wasn’t your thing, no worries! You can wake up early to catch the sunrise and snap some killer photos of the flamingos and the insane scenery. Then you’ve got the whole day to explore at your own pace.

So yeah, it’s gonna be a wild couple of days. Get ready for some serious natural beauty and maybe a little adventure if you’re up for it!

Day 11Lake Natron to Maasai Village

Buckle up for a wild ride, folks! We’re talking a solid six or seven hours on the road, but trust me, it’s gonna be worth every minute. Why? Because we’re heading to a Maasai village that’s so off the beaten path, most tourists don’t even know it exists!

Once we roll in, you’ll get the grand tour and we’ll set up our digs for the night. But the real magic happens when the Maasai guys come back from their day of cattle-wrangling. That’s when this place really comes alive!

Picture this: You’re chilling in a legit Maasai village, watching the sun paint the sky as it dips below the horizon. But wait, there’s more! Tonight, you’re in for a treat – a traditional Maasai goat ceremony. And if you’re feeling brave, you can even bust a move with the locals. It’s gonna be epic, I promise!

Day 12Maasai Village

Get ready for a deeper dive into Maasai culture today. You’ll have plenty of time to wander around and soak up their way of life. The Maasai will take you on a walk, pointing out plants and sharing their traditional medicine-making secrets. It’s fascinating stuff!

But wait, there’s more! The Maasai women will show you how they create their stunning bead jewelry. It’s an art they’ve been perfecting since childhood, and you’ll be amazed at their skill. If you fall in love with their creations (and trust me, you will), you can buy some to take home as souvenirs.

After you’ve filled your belly with a delicious lunch, it’s time to hit the road back to Moshi or Arusha. What a day, right? You’ll be chatting about this experience for years to come!

Day 13Departure

Today you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in time for your flight.
