Now, before you start your epic climb, you’ll get to meet up with your guide. Trust me, this is where the real excitement begins! They’ll give you the lowdown on everything you need to know. What to wear? What to pack? All those little tricks to make your climb a breeze? Yep, they’ve got it all covered.

It’s like having a personal mountain whisperer, if you ask me. They’ll make sure you’re all set to tackle Kili like a pro. So, get ready to soak up all that knowledge and start your adventure on the right foot!

Day 2Marangu Route (1/5) | Marangu Gate (1,860 m/6,102 ft) - Mandara Huts (2,720 m/8,923 ft)

You’ll start bright and early, meeting your guide at the hotel. They’ll whisk you off to Marangu Gate, where the real fun begins. Picture this: you’re strolling through lush coffee and banana farms, then suddenly, bam! You’re in an untouched rainforest. It’s like stepping into another world.

Now, heads up – it’s a solid seven-hour trek to reach Mandara Huts. But don’t worry, the views are worth every step. Once you’re there, you’ve got options. Feeling energetic? Take a quick jaunt to Maundi crater nearby. It’s a volcanic beast that’ll blow your mind. Or, if you’re beat, just chill and soak in the killer surroundings.

Oh, and here’s a pro tip: drink water like it’s going out of style. You’re at a whole new altitude, and your body will thank you later.

So, ready to conquer Kili? Day 1’s just the start of your epic adventure!

Day 3Marangu Route (2/5) | Mandara Huts (2,720 m/8,923 ft) - Horombo Huts (3,720 m/12,204 ft)

So, you’re heading from Mandara Huts up to Horombo Huts. It’s quite the climb, I’ll tell ya! As you trek along, you’ll notice the scenery start to shift. Those lush cloud forests? They slowly give way to wide-open grass plains. You might spot some heather and other plants, but don’t get too attached – the higher you go, the less green stuff you’ll see.

Before you know it, you’ll feel like you’ve landed on the moon! The landscape gets pretty barren up there. Oh, and heads up – the air’s getting thinner too, so take it easy.

Now, here’s a pro tip: After lunch, why not squeeze in a quick acclimatization hike? Just go up about 200 meters and come back down. It’ll help your body adjust to the altitude. Then it’s back to Horombo Huts for some grub and a well-deserved night’s sleep.

Trust me, you’ll want that rest. Tomorrow’s another big day on the mountain!

Jungfrau’s 13,642-foot summit was first ascended in 1811 and in 1912 the rack railway was opened. There are lots of things to do here: enjoy the ALPINE SENSATION, THE PANORAMA 360° EXPERIENCE, and the ICE PALACE. Also receive your JUNGFRAU PASSPORT as a souvenir to take home with you. The round trip to the “Top of Europe” by MOUNTAIN TRAIN will take most of the day.

Hey there, adventurer! Day 4 of the Marangu Route is gonna be a wild ride. You’ll kick off in the dead of night from Kibo Huts, headlamp blazing. Brace yourself – the first stretch to Gilman’s Point is no joke. It’s a real test of your grit.

But once you hit Gilman’s, you’re golden. Uhuru Peak’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away. When you make it to the top, holy moly – that sunrise! It’s something else up there at 19,340 feet. Take it all in, champ. You earned it.

After you’ve soaked up the view and snapped some pics, it’s time to head back down. You’ll cruise through Kibo Huts Camp on your way to Horombo huts, where a hot meal and a comfy bed are waiting.

Fair warning: you’re looking at about 12 hours on your feet today. It’s gonna be tough, no doubt about it. But trust me, when you’re standing on that peak, looking out over Africa… it’s all worth it. So lace up those boots tight and get ready for one heck of a day!
