Your Kilimanjaro adventure kicks off with a hotel pickup and a drive to the registration gate. Once you’re at Londorossi gate, you’ll embark on an 8-day trek that’ll push your limits and reward you with unforgettable views.
Day one starts with a 6 km hike through lush montane forest. It’s about a 3-hour trek, taking you from 1830m to 2650m above sea level. You’ll feel the altitude change, but the forest scenery will keep your mind off the climb.
Your first day ends at Mti Mkubwa camp. Here, you’ll tuck into a well-deserved dinner and get some rest. Trust me, you’ll need it for the days ahead! This is just the beginning of your Kilimanjaro conquest, so pace yourself and soak in every moment.
You will have breakfast in the morning then trek for 4-5 hours moving 8km ahead from the camp through the Moorland climate. This is from 2650m to 3500m high which is at the Shira 1 camp, where you will stay overnight.
Get ready for an epic day of trekking ahead! After fueling up with breakfast at camp, we’re hitting the trails and climbing from 3500m all the way up to 3850m. It’s about an 8km trek through some seriously cool moorland scenery.
Our target? The awesome Shira camp! Once we make it there, you can kick back and relax. We’ll serve up a tasty dinner, and then it’s time to rest those tired legs for the night. Trust me, you’ll need it after today’s climb!
This journey’s going to be challenging, but the views? Totally worth it. So lace up those boots, grab your water, and let’s conquer this mountain together!
Rise and shine, fellow adventurers! After fueling up with breakfast, we’re hitting the trail from our previous spot. We’re in for a solid trek today, climbing from 3850m to 4000m over about 8km. It’s no walk in the park – expect to spend 5-6 hours on the move.
As we push on, we’ll be wandering through some pretty cool moorland scenery. Keep your eyes peeled for unique plants and maybe even some wildlife if we’re lucky.
Our target? The Barranco camp. Once we roll in there, it’s time to kick back, chow down on some well-deserved grub, and get some shut-eye. Trust me, after a day like this, you’ll sleep like a rock!
Remember, folks – it’s all about the journey, not just the destination. So lace up those boots tight, and let’s make some memories on this epic hike!
Get ready for an exciting day ahead. You’ll kick things off with a hearty breakfast before tackling the climb from our cozy camp at 4000m up to Karanga valley camp. It’s not a massive altitude gain – just 50m – but don’t let that fool you. The 5km trek through the Alpine desert is no walk in the park!
Expect to spend about 3-4 hours on the trail. It’s a chance to soak in the otherworldly landscape and really feel like you’re on top of the world. Once you reach Karanga camp at 4050m, you can catch your breath and relax. We’ll serve up a delicious dinner, and then it’s time to snuggle into your sleeping bag for the night. Trust me, after that hike, you’ll sleep like a baby!
In the morning after breakfast, you will then hike from 4050m to 4700m high reaching the Barafu camp which is 4km ahead of your previous destination. you will spend 3-4 hours trekking through Alpine desert climate reaching the camp where you will have dinner plus overnight.
On this day you will trek from 4700 mto 5895m high after breakfast reaching the summit and stay for some minutes. Then you will descend to 3090m high at Mweka camp where you will have dinner and overnight. This will be a total distance of 5km for 5-7 hours ascending and 13km for 5-6 hours descending passing through Stone scree and ice-capped.
After breakfast, you will descend to Mweka Gate to receive your summit certificates. Lower elevations can be wet and muddy so put gaiters and trekking poles handy. From the gate, you will meet a waiting vehicle then drive to the hotel/or airport. End.
